changed IP now clacking at idle

changed IP all went well truck runs good, maybe a touch less power and I am getting a bit more clacking at idle. I guess the timing is off but have no access to a scanner to check. Any seat of the pants ideas to fix? Did the relearn with the key and pedel already. Pluged the EGR as it was causing truck to run like garbage. No codes except for the 401 EGR code. Any way to time without a scanner? Thanks

most likely it needs to get timed...

you can adjust that pump to make it sound like it used to...but that is very unscientific...you need to find someone with a tool to set the pump up...plain and simple.

a loud ticking or clacking could also be two injection line rubbing together..gotta make sure those rubber seperators are installed right.
