Hi Are the glowplug connectors replaceable? If so are they a standard size crimp on style? I noticed on about half of mine the other day that they are very loose on the glowplugs. If fact after I was reinstalling them I double checked them and one of them had fallen off. Can they be tightened up any? Are just the end connectors available from dealers? I did check for continuity and all were good. I too have gone through the burnt out quick heat glowplugs and am going back to the AC's..
No wonder I smoked up the whole neighborhood starting it the other day at 30 degrees. Had to crank three times, hugh amount of smoke, ran really rough and them smoothed out as each cylinder started firing.
Thanks for all the help

COUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzz
So you were the clown with the smoke pot.
Howdy
You can carefully reach in with a very small flat scewdriver and depress the small hook that holds the plastic cover on the plugs and then use a small needle nose plier to crimp the connector sides slightly to tighten them back up.
Pry the small hook back up into position and slide the cover back on untill it snaps into place and you should be good to go.
A squirt of contact cleaner wont hurt them either.
Many large parts stores may very well be able to provide you with replacements.
The GM store can provide a "Pigtail" that can be installed with butt splices.
Best to ya

Try Robyn's fix, first - that usually works best.
I use a pair of dull dikes for automotive service, dulled even duller by use in automotive service - gives better compression on the sides of the connector.
If the connectors are beyond repair, or the wires are frayed\broken, do not even use aftermarket connectors - get replacements from GM, AC Delco\Delphi, or NAPA.
The connector alloy is for high-current high-heat application - the soft copper stuff for normal automotive application will soon soften and deteriorate, and you'll be right back to low current no glow.
