V belt to Serp conversion

I am going to help my brother install a 6.5 from his 85 Sub into his 91 Sub which was originally equiped 454. His 85 came with V belts and his 91 has a serp belt. Both trucks are running and complete. He wants the 6.5 with the Serp system, Is this possible or ?

The serp drive from the 454 will not fit the 6.2/6.5 engines. You can use the serp set up from a later 6.5 and all its accessories will bolt right on to the older engine with V belts.
Hope this helps.
Be sure you use the later model water pump as they turn backward on a serp drive as compared to a V belt system.
