lly injector help

i am working on a 2004 lly the small line on top of the #7 injector is broke off. do i have to replace the injector to fix this line? the truck is out of warranty and it also has been rolled over. i am trying to get it running after crash.

i have found out that the line is a return line that is held on the injector with a small metal clip. my return lin is broke off of the injector with part of the line still in the injector. anybody ever work on the injectors and have this problem? i am trying to figure out how to get the broken part out of the injector. this is a LLY motor.

I haven't had occasion to mess with the LLY injectors much, but my guess is that you are looking at a new injector.

The part can be removed from the injector with a pick likely. Problem with the broken part is its part of the return line harness. Must be replaced as an assembly. I have had success in just changing that fitting, the hoses are push on type hoses, low pressure behind them.
