View Full Version : New 2007
My dealer called yesterday and said he had the order sheets for the new 2997 3500 . No prices but we could spec one out to be ordered as soon as he could. Job Done!
New order code for the duramax is LMM.
It is still going to be after the first of the year however since I'm gone for the winteer months that will work out just fine.
Sure do hate giving up this 2500 03 but have to due to towing restrictions ie too heavy a 5th for the 2500.
Just got broken in good too. Oh well!

According to a GM press release dated 9/28/06, the Silverado/Sierra (pickups) will get the LLM code Duramax.
According to a GM Press release dated 8/24/06, the Kodiak/Topkick (medium-duties) will get the LMM code Duramax.
The local Chevy dealer's radio ads indicate a $2500+ additional price premium for the new 2007 emissions certified diesel.

Interesting (the premium markup).
The "hybrid" markup for a Prius is double that.....I wonder if they will offer similar tax breaks, incentives and matched discounts for a supposed cleaner solution.....I doubt it!

Mentioning the premium for the LLM/LMM in their ads is one way to encourage people to buy what they have on the lot. Having the newest body style will likely make up that $2500+ difference at the time of sale/trade a few years on down the road.
However, my guess is a combination of dealer incentives, low interest loans, rebates and the like will keep a lid on actual price increases. :)

I meant to say that the engine cde was LMM. That's what is listed on the printout sheet I was given.
Sorry abut that.
