I have 98 6.5L 4x4 that has that 90 degree adapter on the oil filter base so it doesn't hit the front driveshaft. Can you fit a 2 qt filter in there or would you have to go with a remote mount for that?
Thanks!!

Dunno what'll fit there.
I remoted for other reasons, like avoiding the oil bath i got when changing the lube oil.
PS:
Be advised that the OEM 90* adapters are known for occasional massive leaks. Replace all three incorporated orings at your earliest convenience to avoid this eventuality. Or, remote the filter, eliminating the adapter. Bad news: the large oring is like $10.
Save yourself the grief and remote the thing and set it up so changing the filter is not a bloody mess. There is a nice spot down front just above the front skid pan. Fabricate a bracket and mount it there and run some oil pressure lines to it.
