A general rule of thumb is 0.001" per 1" of journal diameter. The best source for 6.2l & 6.5l specs is the Haynes diesel engine handbook for GM & Ford/Navistar diesels.

About .003" is max
.002" is middle of the road I think
I built my 94 6.5 this spring and I think it was at near .003" on the rods and the mains were slightly tighter.
I had a crank that was fit originally with .0005" undersize bearings and I used std so its a tad loose.

what sort of oil pressure does the engine normally operate at?

I typically see .002" to .003" which is doing good.

.002" being on the tight side.

On my '86 engine. I had .002 on the rods and .003" on the mains. Oil pressure is really nice, it's 75psi bone cold, around 55 hot (at 2k rpm). Idles at 40 hot.
