Guys, I'm trying to figure out if I need to upgrade my axles on my gooseneck car trailer to haul my 94 Dually. I'm close but if I can save some coin without changing them it'd be a plus. So I need to find out the curb weight a 94 Ex cab dually with a 6.5 TD and auto trans w/ 8 foot bed. If it's close to 5000# I may be able to keep the total weight under 7500#. Watcha think?

Thanks
David

I vote "not close." IIRC, my 95 LD K2500 ext cab SB cut the floor at about 6200. You've got heavier axles, frame, more tires and 18" more bed...

My 1993 6.5TD, auto, extended cab, 2WD dually was weighed empty with half load of fuel at slightly over 6000#(6050# if I recall correctly).

Thanks guys. It looks like I'll be adding the heavier leafs and axles. I'd rather be safe than have white knuckle ride up north.

Thanks
