Goodguys Announce 2007 Event Schedule

Pleasanton, CA - The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, the largest rod &custom association in the world with over 70,000 members, will stage 21events in 2007, including a brand new event in Chicago as well as a venuechange for the annual Great Lakes Nationals. The event lineup features 18"National" events, and 3 "Get-Together's" at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. A brand new event, the 1st Peak Chicagoland Nationals, will be stagedSeptember 21-23 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois marking thefirst time Goodguys have ever produced an event in the "Land of Lincoln."

Several milestone events are on the docket as well. The 25th All AmericanGet-Together, March 24 & 25 in Pleasanton will celebrate 25 years thisspring. The Goodguys PPG Nationals - the world's largest event for vehiclesthrough 1972 vintage will celebrate 10 years of Goodguys Goodtimes this July13-15 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. The signature Northwestern USGoodguys event - the Pacific Northwest Nationals held in Puyallup,Washington will celebrate its 20th birthday the weekend of July 27-29 atthe Western Washington Fairgrounds.

The 18th Great Lakes Nationals, formerly held in Waukesha, Wisconsin willmove west to the gorgeous summer resort town of Madison, Wisconsin and willbe staged at the spacious Alliant Energy Center grounds the weekend ofAugust 17-19. In other news, Napa Auto Parts has signed on as the official Auto PartsStore of the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association. Napa will have a majorpresence at all 18 Goodguys Nationals events in 2007 with special at-eventmidway displays, special product giveaways as well as country-wide in storepromotions at participating locations.

Goodguys Announce Two New Events for 2007

Pleasanton, CA - The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has announced they will stage two brand new events in 2007.

The 2007 Goodguys season will get kick started with the all new Orange County Get-Together, March 10 & 11 at the Orange County Fair & Expo Center. The event will welcome all years, makes and models of American cars and trucks and feature all the activities of a Goodguys Get-Together including the outdoor show & shine, indoor and outdoor vendor exhibits, a swap meet, cars for sale corral, cruisin', entertainment and more! The Get-Together format allows for a for a very festive and lively flavor and offers sort of a melting pot of cars of all years, makes and models as well as car-lovers of all ages.

Home to the annual OC Fair each July, the grounds are also well known to rodders. The venue hosts the Great Labor Day Cruise and Cruisin' For a Cure shows each September. This will mark the first time Goodguys has staged an event at the popular Southern California venue.

Later in the year, Atlanta Motor Speedway will host the 1st Goodguys/Napa Auto Parts Southern Nationals June 15, 16 & 17, 2007. The event will be open to 1972 & earlier rods, customs, classics, street machines, tricked out trucks and muscle cars. While Goodguys has held nine national rod & custom events over the years in the Atlanta metro market in Perry, and Conyers, Georgia, this marks the first time Goodguys will hold an event at the famed hi-banked speedway and its spacious infield.

Constructed in 1960, Atlanta Motor Speedway is an 870 acre event facility located in Hampton, Georgia. The hi-banked 1.54 mile quad oval plays host to two annual NASCAR Nextel Cup events as well as Busch Series racing and other specialty events. The venue mirrors Lowe's Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway - home to other Goodguys National events. "It was a no-brainer to hold a Goodguys National event at Atlanta Motor Speedway" said Goodguys Vice President of Event Operations Harry Daviess. "Our events fit these Super Speedways perfectly. There's lots of room to park and cruise, the pit garages serve as perfect spaces for the vendor midway and the participants feel at home at these venues. Throw in the track cruise and NASCAR rides and you've got a winning formula which is fun for all participants and spectators

There are over 20 hotels within twenty miles of the facility and the town of Hampton is a quaint place with friendly dining establishments. User friendly freeway access to and from the Speedway also makes this new Goodguys event appealing to both event participants and spectators.
