My 2002 has been in for injector service and I aked to have the glow plugs replaced at the same time.
The driver's side connector 'rail' where the wires powering each plug terminate was rusted clean through, after wire number one. Since the two rails are powered from that side, if undiagnosed, the truck would have gone into winter weather with ONE operational glowplug.
LB7 owners may want to inspect their trucks to make sure the light metal rail is still intact. Minnesota road salt made quick work of mine.
