How to change Differencial Oil in g30 3spd 6.2

Hello,

I am trying to change the diff oil in an 86 G30 van with a 3 speed 4:10 auto tranny. I see a plug at the bottom of the diff but not at the top:confused:

Can i use synthetic oil to replace - what weight is best?

the fill plug is gonna be about half way up the side cant remember what side but its there. you should be able to use syn but not sure guess it depends if it has a L S.
