4l80e gas or diesel

I was looking at transmission on ebay that is for a gas engine.
Is this the same transmission for diesel?

Shift scheduling may also be different, but I could be wrong. Gasser trannies will have a higher rev shift point as opposed to the lower revs of a diesel engine. Plus, since the gasser is capable of higher revs, a diesel with it's lower revs may not spin up the pump high enough for proper lubrication. I could be wrong about this particular unit, though.

I think the computer controls a lot of the running characteristics of the tranny as well, so I might wonder if the electronics would respond correctly. Maybe someone else knows more about this aspect?
