I bought a GM cap in early 2002 and need one for my new to me 2003 Dmax. The one I had, allowed use of the tether from the stock cap to be used on the new locking one. Any one have a part number or source for these?
Matt
PN for the AC locking cap I used on my 03 was GT250 ... it reuses the tether strap from the stock cap ...

Thanks,
Is that the GM part number?
Matt,
GT250 is the AC Delco number ...I checked the package my cap came in and the GM part number is 15070014 (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?singlepart=1&partnumber=15070014) ...
More Info:
GT250/15070014 Cross reference (http://198.208.187.182/internet/VehicleCompetitiveCrossRefPartDescription.jsp?app= yes&autosel=A&part=15070014&manfid=GENERAL+MOTORS+CORP.)
AC Delco GT250 Usage (http://198.208.187.182/internet/VehiclePartFits.jsp?part=GT250&autosel=A)
Wal-Mart also sells a STANT locking cap (http://www.stant.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=202&location_id=170) that fits but it doesn't have the strap feature ...

Has anyone had any problems with the Stant Locking fuel cap (#10591) for their diesel?
I understand you have to have the right cap so that your vacuum is correct.
I called my local Chevy dealer and they told me that GM doesn't make one for the Silverado Duramax. The way fuel prices keep on going up, we're going end up with a bunch of fuel suckers looking to sip up the gold out of our tanks.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
Before buying the AC Delco locking cap with the tether, I used the STANT cap on my 03 with no problems... also used the same cap with the 98 6.5 TD.
