Wait to Start Light

So I did not get an owners manual with the truck, hence the following question.

Is it normal for the Wait to Start light to flash a few times after starting. I was guessing that this was maybe an indication of the glow plugs still energising due to a cold start.
Does the SES light come on with key in run position before starting then go off to help indicate a possible blown bulb. as I am not noticing mine.

More importantly does anyone have a 1997 GMC Owners manual spare, or a lead on where to get one? Even a photocopy would be much appreciated. I purchased one on ebay hoping it covered both Gas and Diesel but it only covers gas.

OK so I just found the solution to an owners manual anyways. Helminc sells the diesel supplement.
Still would appreciate input on the above questions tho.

Good Day!

On my 95's, the PCM cycles the glow plugs a few times after the engine starts on a cold start; the SES lights (along with everything else on the dash) for a few seconds after turning the key, to verify lamp & ckt funtion. If yours doesn't, I guess I'd want to know why.
