electric fans

has anyone tried or know of anybody using electric fans on a 6.5td and if the out come was favorable have seen them advertised for duramax and thought i might try it

Common question, with an almost common responce.

The electric fan offerings don't offer enough airflow to properly cool these rigs, well in comparison to the engine driven fan.

Take some time to update your signature and let it reflect the rig you're running, that'll help in future questions, cause they vary from year to year, etc.

The BEST upgrade cooling fan wise is the KD fan clutch paired with EITHER the steel 9 blade fan or the Duramax plastic fan (a little big).
