Need front starter bracket for 6.2/6.5

Hi all,
I need a front starter bracket for the big starter on a 6.2/6.5. Long story short, bracket bolt broke of in block, came loose from starter and fell away. My boy didn't hear anything unusual.... Anyway, PM me or call me if you have one to sell!

Check with your dealer and get one ordered, the part number is 14028931, so that should help in the hunt. The bracket is the same through 1987, or for all MT27 starters, not the MT28 gear reduction.

Got it on order from the dealer! It'll be here in a couple of days. Only cost a few bucks. I had just figured it would be unavailable like most of the parts for my '82! Actually LMC has a lot of parts for it, except this bracket!

I know what you mean about parts not being available! Have to dig deeper sometimes.

If you can get chummy with your freindly Parts man at the Chevy store many will have access to other outfits that buy up all the new old stock thats being discontinued and he can send you to them.
My dealer has done that on numerous occasions for me.
Recently I was looking for some parts for my 82 Burb and he was able to scrounge them up pronto through other channels.
keep this stuff in mind for the older rigs
