My tps has been acting up for a while. Just got a new one. Man those things are pricey.

It came with instructions that require .646" block. Is there a way of doing setup without it as I cannot find one, and I got a long trip coming up this weekend, therefore no time to get the block.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thank you

Different years adjust differently, but the general rule is install the new one like you removed the old one. Just position the new TPS in the same fashon as the old one was positioned on the injection pump.

I've always had a set of blocks since the first TPS I did, but only used it about half the time after that (couldn't find it, bottom of the toolbox, beer was closer, etc.) If you have a micrometer or caliper, just make one out of hardwood or a chunk of plastic. Although the number is intimidating, it really isn't all that critical. I usually end up adjusting them by "feel" afterward, anyway. Most of the times, I did as John suggests.
