Boost

Hello.

I have installed bullydog 5" exhaus and the triple dog whit the out look monitor.

It works great, but.... Im loading 36psi of boost!!!! And that is not on the highest power program.

What is the max of boost this engine can take?

I have a duramax 2003 lb7.

Yikes. Is this a spike, or peak recorded by a digital gauge with memory? If so, I'd be less concerned than if you are seeing sustained boost of 36psi while towing...

What are your EGTs? Under what circumstances are you seeing these peaks?

My thought is that 36 is too high if sustained, especially if you are towing. If its a peak when you punch it (unloaded) then probably no big deal.

What exhaust are you running?

Im running Bully dog 5".

Its a peak. But when Im passing other cars and make a kick down it load about 32-32psi. (unloaded) Havent hadd a big tow. only smal.

I have Bully dogs out loock. It have memory.

I have the egt sensor after my turbo, about 6" from the turbo. And I havent hadd more that 1000 f.


What is max hp my tranny is made to handel?

yOUR Tranny isn't rated for horsepower.
Kennedy says don't go over 725 ft. lbs. of torque. I'm almost amazed it will hold that much- stock.
