SO i switched over to Amsoil 15W40 synthetic. I recieved my first oil analysis back and wanted to see what is average, etc.
Miles on vehicle: 129781
Miles on oil: 4675
Iron: 39
Chromium: 1
Lead: 9
Copper: 2
Tin: 0
Aluminum: 2
Nickel: 0
Silver: 0
Silicon: 15
Boron: 20
Sodium: 0
Magnesium: 156
Calcium: 3952
Barium: 0
Phosphorus: 1220
Zinc: 1550
Molybdenum: 17
Titanium: 0
Vanadium: 0
Potasium: 0
Fuel: <1
Vis @100C: 16.28
Water: 0
Soot/solids: 0.7
Coolant: no
TBN: 8.24
Oxid: 9.0
Nitr: 10.0
F-Soot: 0.77
They state that no corrective action is required. Oil is sutiable for continued use. Resample at regular interval.
I understand some of this, but could use some information from those in the know,and how this averages out to other vehicles. Thanks
