Is this right???

I went 'below' today to take a look around - pre-planning my Corsa conversion. While I was there I checked around. I noticed the outflow pipe from the catalytic converter - right above the cross member and before the 4 bolt flange - has a "dent" across it. It crosses the pipe at the same angle as the cross member, but seems strange. Its about 3/4" wide. It's not flat so there must be a bump on the inside of the pipe.

Does it come from the factory like this or do I have an oddball?:confused: :confused:

Update - turns out from post on Diesel Place that this is normal - seems wierd to me!!

I think it is normal as I see the same in my 06 LBZ. I just got the downpipe from MBRP for it.

Going to install right after I put the Quad Recon gauges in so I see if there is really a temp difference when added.
