What is the normal outlet pressure of a funtioning lift pump? I am thinking of putting an oil pressure sending unit on my lift pump outlet to illuminate a lamp if I lose my lift pump, but I am not sure at what pressure sending unit to use.
Thanks!

The lift-pump is only rated 4 to 5 lbs

Cowracer,
Put your sensor post filter then you get the added benefit of making sure the filter isn't plugged.
My gauge, post filter, reads:
6 psi @ idle
3 psi @ WOT full load
9 psi when the motor is off but the OPS still is sending power to the LP.
