I just saw a notice on the diesel pump at my local 76 station (S0. Cal.). It says that the use of this fuel will damage the '07 engines!
I heard a big change is coming for '07 diesels to comply with the new emissions rules. Does this mean that the '07 will require special fuel? Does it mean that '07s cannot use $1.90/gal Mexican fuel?

Search the forums for "ULSD" to read more than you could ever wish for. Here's one to start with:

Thanks, John. It looks like I better not head for Mexico with an '07. Any idea about Canada?

Some areas within Mexico are supposed to offer ULSD next month - i.e. border areas and the larger cities, but you'll be out a luck most everywhere else. Mexico mostly offers both 500-ppm sulfur fuel (similar to our outgoing low sulfur diesel) and 5000-ppm sulfur fuel  . This last one is a cat and DPF killer for sure.

Canada is supposed to follow the U.S. with its fuel standards, so you should be OK while north of the border... :)
