Just read in Light & Medium Duty Truck that GM is planning a new V8 diesel engine in 2010. Dual OHC w/ 4 valve /cyl, and particulate trap. 13% less co2 than comparable gas engines, 90% less particulates and NOX's. Integrated manifolding, graphite iron block, alum heads, fractured mains and rods all to help fit where a small gas V8 fits. bob...............
