I,m Gonna Order A Warpspeed 4" Exaust Turbo Back This Week. Do Any Of You Have This System? I,m Gonna Take My Cat Off And Muffler But Now I,m Wondering What It Would Sound Like With The Glasspack They Offer Any One Here Running A Glasspack And If So Is It To Loud , Sound Good

it won't be very loud, I run without a cat and muffler on a 3" exhaust it sounds good bearly noticeable in cab. The turbocharger muffles most of the sound.

I have pretty much the same truck as you, I have the LD 2500 also a 1994, and I had quite a time making the 4" system not hit on the crossmember for the torsion bars. Your mileage may vary but be warned. If I was going to do it all over again, I would get a 3.5" system.

hi nvmtnlion
did you have to do any mods to get by the cross member (rebend pipe)

When I put a 3 1/2 on I saw how tight it is in places and wondered how a 4 would fit. Research shows negledigibe improvement between 3 1/2 to 4. 4 looks cool, and may be louder which on a sub will matter. Unless your dead set on a 4 save headaches and go 31/2.

My 4" system sat in the box in my garage for about a year. I found a shop that put it on for $80, a REAL bargain considering it would have taken me about half a day or more.

No cat, short glasspack.

It is louder than I thought it would be, but I don't think it would be an issue in a pickup. When I was towing my CC back from Kansas the noise at 65 was pretty intrusive. I am thinking of getting it under coated for rust protection & sound insulating.

Hiya Baddiesel,

I had to kinda oblong the pipe to make it fit with more than 1/8" gap. I got on the pipe with a rosebud, and when it was red gently squeezed it with a big pair of slip joint pliers. Just enough for some clearance. That was the only tight spot.

I put SS Diesel supply's 4" on my LD 2500 with no problems took me about an hour and half after the old pipe was off

No, I said YMMV on getting a 4" to fit past the torsion bar crossmember. I got better mileage. Sorry.. didn't mean to confuse the issue.

it will still breath better than stock the muffler is'nt that big and is somewhat loud i figured straight might be to loud for the residetial area i plow in the winter, i get complaints with my gasser with headers and straights so i wanna keep the 6.5 some what quieter

What is the best place to buy a 4" exhaust system?
I suppose the cheapest would be best... I can't imagine and real difference in quality of pipe.
How much did some of you guys pay for your 4" exhaust?

:o

Sep - while I have not purchased one yet, (I am still on the steep part of the learning curve!) the least expensive (sounds better than cheapest!) I have found is a Pinnacle (Jardine) on Ebay. For your truck they have them on Ebay for $275 plus $45 i think it is for shipping. Do a search on ebay for "6.5 diesel exhaust" and it will come up. I think the next cheapest I saw was a SSDiesel for ...hmmm $350 I think? on ebay as well. No clue which one is better than the other!
