NYS emission inspections

While we downstaters have had this in effect the last 2 years ( diesels have special inspection machines & stickers) he claims that this is in regard to all the rest of NYS (both gas & diesel)
He hasn't heard about the new rate ($85) yet but is contacting them. Right now it's $37.50.
If true, this should make for some interesting posts. :eek:

Thanks for the post on NYS inspections. I am waiting to see what the cost will be as well. One mechanic I spoke with stated it would be $85. I hope not.
The truck ran beautifully this past week with the new exhuast system. The suburban had 3 adults and 4 teens, two bikes on the luggage rack and hauling a 32' trailer. It performed very well on the mountains of Pa and Va. Thanks for the update on the NYS inspection. :cool:
