My friend just recently got a 1998 Ford F-250 4x4 Heavy Duty with the 7.3 Turbo Diesel and that thing is pretty sweet... I am starting to get the Diesel Bug and have a few questions... I had an old 1984 Chevy C20 4x4 with the 6.2 Diesel and it was ok, but not enough grunt compared to todays diesels... I like the older body styles (1974ish all the way up to the 1995ish Body Style) I like the new Duramax and was wondering if its possible to buy a Duramax and ECM and related wiring, Allision Tranny, and Rearend from a wrecked truck(s) and put them in an older truck, or should I just save and get a used newer truck with a Duramax... Preferably I would like a Single Cab Long Bed... Thanks guys!
