Well yesterday after work I decided to stretch the legs on the old girl, and decided to take her on the mountain highway, and normally in town she runs at 85

I dont beleve i have a clutch fan, It's allways going even on start-up. How can I tell exactley? Any test's I can do?

I tried spinning it and it didn’t even make 1 rotation so I think that is good they shouldn’t be able to. So I guess I do have a clutch fan, I am just wondering why I never see it just move slowly, or hear it engage what are the stock temp at for it to engage anyone know?

Sorry im just trying to learn about the beast make sure shes running on a dime.

Your on the money. Look's like you have a good cooling system running in those temps;)
Better yet if that was with A/C on.:)

I tow a 22ft 5000lb trailer with the sub (we call them caravans down under). Normally around city temperature sits at about 167f but will move up 10 or so on hotter days. Put on the Trailer and tow on days with ambient temp around 90f+ probably more on the TAR and the temp gauge with A/C on fluctuates between say 175f and 190f. As it reaches the higher level the clutch fan comes on and brings it down. On long mountain climbs the temperature gets up about 212-220 and the clutch fan keeps it under control. I find it doesn't really get much hotter that this but with Dexcool (tm) and a good radiator cap the coolant doesn't boil til it reaches 264 which I assume is way into the red area of the temp gauge. These figures are all estimated from the standard Temp Gauge.
