I have a 97 chevy with a 350 in it, the fan clutch works when I move the little bi-metal spring, and also disengages when I move it back. The problem is nothing happens when I heat the spring with a hair drier up to 250 F but when I use the propane torch it moves. So do these springs go bad? Can I just get a spring somewhere?
