Got a buddy in the business, so I wanted the road noise to go away. Had the undercoating/rustproofing done along with a heavyer coat of sound barrier applyed. The worker coated the fuel cooler. You can still see through it and feel air movement through it when I blow on it. Will the cooler still do it's job?
He applyed a paint protenctant, it's not a wax or claims not a silicon - what else could there be? It does really shine now!

Boy that's a tough one, but it seems that if the metal is covered you loose some of your cooling effect, as the coating acts like an insulator, not only for heat getting out of the tubes, but also cool air getting to the tubes. I'm not sure how crucial it is to cool the fuel but GM put it on for a reason and this is definitely reducing it's effectiveness...not to good. Of course on the other hand it is shinny....:D
