06 LBZ 600 miles what is that noise??

when I pull the truck out of the garage in the AM and drive dwn my street, the truck is not to operating temp , but I get this real loud wind noise sounds like a train kinda, goes away after I reach the end of my street 1/4 mile.gets progressively louder as the rpm rises. anybody????

That's your fan. The viscous clutch will engage briefly when you first start up after sitting for several hours until the oil gets redistributed. It's normal.

What ronnie said... plus... You could hear that noise (engaged fan-clutch) on a hot day while driving in stop-n-go traffic in town, or while towing up grades in warmer weather. It's a good sound.... :)
