I have a 99 GMC 'burb 2500 SLT WITH 6.5td. What kind of code reader plug-in do I have? And where is it located? Is it a "generic OBDII connector?

I think (????) it should be OBD II and located at your left knee under the dash as your sitting in the truck. 2 good products to look at if you are considering a scan tool is the Scanguage(more basic) or the Autoenginuity scantool(more advanced) I have both of these and they seem to work GREAT.
