Hi, My first real post on the forum. Alittle about me, I bought a new 1993 6.5 chevy in Nov of 92 and drove it for 10 years. Then got a 2003 Duramax. About a year ago I bought a 93 ext cab 4x4 6.5 and recently a 93 crew cab.
Enough about me.
My question is, I have a fuel tank out of a Suburban 1996 with straps ect... I want to install it in the truck, but it will interfer with with the trailer hitch if mounted were the holes in the suburban cross members line up with the holes in the truck frame.
If I move it forward it get close to the rear axle.
Has anyone done this swap? any ideas? Thanks.

If the Suburban & truck trailer hitch are the same, then I imagine the Sub tank would fit a truck..... sans spare tire & related mounting harware. The Sub tank is fairly close to the rear axle...

Keep us posted as to fit. :)

From what I see it looks like the suburban frame is longer in the rear section of the frame. I need to measure one to make sure.
The holes in the frame from the spare tire mount match up with the suburban crossmembers.
