Anyone put Optima batteries in thier K3500?

Just installed the Optima RedTops in my K3500... the side post interferes with the airbox however..

Looks like I will have to use the top posts of the battery because of the airbox location.... any one done this before?

Good place to get the top-post to GM conversion piece?

I've done a couple and IMHO, you are better off with the top post anyways. If you want some pics I can email them to you. I have wrote an article about this but it is yet to be published.

I have had the optima redtops in my K2500 for the last two years and just left the batt. sitting there right next to the airbox it cant go to far.. never had a problem and I plow snow with the truck.. I Know it's the best move but to fix it is just one of thoes things I have yet to do...

PS makes changeing the head light alot ez-er:)
