Okay, so what is the best way to know if the injector pump is bad? I think I allready know it is but not positive.
Have fuel to injector pump. Pink wire is hot with 12 volts, and when I unplug it I can hear the IP click when the key is on. Loosened fuel lines at injectors, and cranked engine multiple times, and only got just a tiny bit of fuel to come out even when I took a couple of the lines completely off the injector to make sure I was getting flow.
What do you think? Obviously bad? Do these IPs normally die slowly. As in, together with bad glow plugs, would the IP over time make the vehicle harder and harder to start til eventually it just doesn't start at all? Because that's what happened with this engine. Slowly quit starting as easy. I am almost positive almost all of the glow plugs are shot. Haven't had time to check them all yet. Work a LOT. Going to replace them, but if I'm not getting fuel to the cylinders that won't help much:-)
Thanks:D
