oil cooler/beating a dead horse

I know this has been hashed out 100 times, but I can't find a absolute answer by searching. For 6.2's and early 6.5's with the 3/8" lines are the adapters in the block 3/8" pipe thread? I'm thinking of fabricating a different oil cooler setup and would like to get all the parts I need before I tear the origional lines off. Just incase I can't find parts in town...

3/8 npt is the thread type. I got my adapters that go from 3/8 to 5/8 (or equiv AN) for the block at a local hydraulic shop, this was to use 5/8 cooler hose.

thanks! my timing cover project has gotten a little bigger than intended... I've had a new oil cooler setting around waiting to go in for months now... the condensor and radiator needed to come out to be cleaned/repaired anyways... Maybe I'll remember to take some pics this time.
