i have been looking to replace my 82 sub, 6.2 with a 2500 pickup with the 6.5 turbo, the few trucks i have seen have oil, well it looks like oil running down the side of the turbo, is this a major concern? is there a oil cooler line that is leaking? i am just trying to consider weather or not is worth going to a turbo truck.
if any one is intrested in my suburban, it is an 82 with 125000 miles, i put 3/4 ton rear springs in it and a new high torque starter, new duelar at tires, 31x10.5 it has a little rust starting in the normal plcaes, but it is clean for a 82 from minnesota asking 3500 or best offer, less if you have own tires

The oil you're probably referring to is a mist of oil that escapes with boost pressure at the silicone hose connector between the intake and the turbo itself.

This is for two main reasons, too thin of connector hose and insufficient clamps (mainly pre 94). The t-bolt clamps were preferred, although not the fix.

Another reason this spot leaks is due to porus castings, nearly all of them are.

I'm sure this was more info than you wanted, but now ya know!
