Did they re-introduce the cabin air filters for 2004? I thought they discontinued them in 2003. A friend with a 2003 doesn't have one, and no accommodation to install one.
Last year was 2002.
You can still install a filter, however you will need to cut where the old filter door use to be. It is still the same inside they just made it one soild piece to save a buck or two.

Here's pics and info, for the guy's who have the cabin air filters.
I also heard they dis-continued the filters in "03".

I was disappointed also when I saw my new '05 did not have the cabin filters. Looking at the duct housing, it looked the same as my '02, except without the access panel.
So.........I cut an access panel in the same place as my '02 and the stock filters fit right in place. I got a piece of 1 1/4" wide 1/8" thick aluminum flat bar and made my access panel cover. Installed two self tapping screws (one each end of the cover) and it works great. Now I have cabin filters again.
