Can I use the synthetic Rotella 5w-40 ?

I am sure this is a repost, but I am going to change my oil today...

I noticed that the auto parts store has the Rotella Synthetic 5w-40 now, I have been using the Rotella conventional 15w-40.

Can/should I use 5w-40 in my 6.5TD ?

Or, should I be using the "Valvoline Blue"?
