Merry Christmas to everyone!

What's on your wish list this year? Assuming world peace will be taken care of, what's your 6.5 getting? :D

Well said! Well met! Happy Holidays and God bless to everyone! Please remember our men and women that are serving our country and not able to be at home.
Hopefully this spring the truck will get some new injecters!
World peace ???? Think of what the unemployment rate would be!!!

Merry Christmas to all,

For Christmas (an early one at that) I gave my ride a new 4 inch exhaust, Autometer EGT, a new set of LT265 tires, new Gas Magnum shocks, 98 cooling mods, a D-max fan, cleaned the radiator and replaced a tank (cracked), pulled the vacuum pump and converted to manual boost control, and a quart of warm oil before tucking it in :D

I also had the differential rebuilt with new 4.10's as a bearing went on vacation and took the pinion with it.

The truck made out like a bandit, I got the bills.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season.

So the expected life of the rear diff gears is 400,000 miles! That sounds good.

I wish I could say the life expectancy of the gears was 400K+, but in fact there was evidence the gears had been worked before. The truck had 391K on it when I bought it. The roller bearing that supports the rear of the pinion gear failed and the rollers started melting into larger masses. Unfortunately it took the bearing surface of the rear of the pinion gear with it. A new gear set was indicated.

Jim Merry Christmas

Peace, then a larger exhaust,
no peace then a .50BMG ring mount would be a good idea.

Just kidding about the ring mount!

Ring mount...HMMMM
My neighboor has one for a 5ton M813. I wonder if it could be re-fitted to a 1999 Chev 1ton....
Time to fire up the welder...
