I have a 6.2 and I'm trying to do the swap with a 454 but I need to know where I can get some newer model J heads and a new wiring harness so I can hook everything up. Help please

I think you can use the gasser wiring harness. The injector pump needs one hot wire and the water temp. and oil pressure sensors would be the same. The only thing you would have to add would be the wiring for the glow plugs.

Since the coil has a hot wire which is hot once the ignition is in the run position would that be the best alternative or would it be better to just make a whole circuit and just put a switch in the cab of the truck

If your truck had HEI, the wire that formerly went to the HEI will be more than adequate to power the IP.

You will need to tap into that wire and go to a temp switch, and then to the HPCI and fast idle solenoid.

Using a mid-to-late 80's glow plug controller, all you need is a heavy wire from the battery to the controller, heavy wires that "tee" off to smaller wires, to each glow plug, a wire from the ignition-powered wire to the controller, a ground to the controller, a "feedback" wire from the glow plug harness to the controller, and a wire from the "START" circuit to the controller.

Is there anybody who sells complete wiring harnesses for my 84 c/k or schematics so I can get rid of everything and do it right the first time. I hate the way it looks now with wires cut here there and everywhere and just strewn amongst
