Problem with 6.2

The other day my blazer started making a funny sound. Kind off a high pitch noise. When I turn on my heater the noise quiets down. I've also check all my belts to. the noise sounds like it's coming from the front of the engine!

did you check your power steering fuid? Since diesels use the power steering for the power brakes as well, there's more potential for leaks. When the fluid is low the pump will start whining.

I check the power steering out this weekend. Sounds like the pump is going bad!
