If you're a diesel enthusiast like me, you've probably seen a few scattered photos of engine production through the years, and thought how cool it would be to actually see your favorite engine roll down the assembly line. As part of the 2001 Diesel Page Rendezvous, held in Dayton, Ohio, all attending DP members were given the opportunity to see for themselves how both the DMAX Duramax 6600 and AM General 6.5L engines were produced. DMAX, GM Powertrain, GEP, AM General, Allison and Isuzu really rolled out the red carpet.
