I bought this truck (84 chevy 4x4 6.2)
from a guy that bought it from the son of a man that was working on the truck and died before finnishing the "project. He pulled the gasser that was in it and installed the 6.2. looks like he wired up everything except the cruise control.
The truck had set for 3 years before I got it. I syphoned out the 2 tanks and put in fresh diesel. After installing a vaccum pump and a oil pressure sending unit
I tried starting it. The engine runs for a couple of minutes and then dies. After cranking it again it would only run about 2 or 3 minutes then die. The water in fuel light comes on but i can start it and the light goes out and after it dies the light is back on. I put in a fuel additive that disperses water but i still can't get the motor to run for more than a couple of minutes.

Any thoughts?
