Blast From the Past Comments
I made two blast from the past improvements this weekend just in time for cold weather. I had recently installed the 60G plugs and noticed a bit of cold start stumble. I performed a variation of the OPS fix with a twist which starts the lift pump during the glow cycle using a double pole relay in concert with the Glow plug extender/timing advance temperature (Improving Cold Weather Starts) article with a slight twist to allow me to change the shunt resistance in the cab just for fun and an override if the lift OPS contacts fail. This evening I got home and temp was 21F. She blew off the line like a pro mod. Good stuff, thanks guys the DP
