I have just received a FLP from a supplier.
The replacement pump came with rubber hoses and spring clips.
Also the power leads were Red and Black with raw ends.
Is this Normal??

I was expecting the replacement FLP to have 3/4" f/m ends so that I could
use the OEM Steel fuel lines, with 5/8" male ends to screw straight in.
The power wires on the FLP had raw ends, I was expecting a 2 pin plug-
end, that plugs straight into the OEM trucks' plug.
The part number on the box was E3158, and the discription was
Pump Fuel GM Truck 88-97.
I am now guessing that they supplied me with a gasser FLP, as it seems
strange to me, that I would need to cut the OEM Steel Fuel lines to fit the
rubber hoses and spring clips. Also strange to me that I need to cut off the
OEM power plugs to splice the new FLP into the wiring system.

However stand to be corrected by a DP Member who has experience with
a FLP replacement.
Thank you for any info you can offer.
Rod.

Rod, also if you go to the The Diesel Page member area and drop down you'll see helpfull tips and trouble shooting. Keep going down and you'll see a list off most usefull part numbers.

Thanks Bnave95,
The FLP did not seem right to me. However to the unknown
such as myself, I got to the stage where I was trying to fit
some logical explanation, why, I received this type of lift pump.
However the logic failed, hence the reason for my post.
I appreciate your responce.
Rod.
