Express Fuel Filters

Wow, Chevy wants $110 for the fuel filter 'kit' for the D Max express. I ordered one to see what this kit entails, and to see if I can outsource the drop in portion of it.

Over one hundred bucks seems a bit steep to me.

Is the "kit" for both filters (pre-filter and dual pleat filter)? If it's for two the price would sound about right for GM .. still high though .. :eek:

Yes, it is for both. I have looked for another source for the 10 micron primary filter cartridge but so far have been unable to find one. The secondary is the same dual pleat stepped-can as used on the pickups. Have had a kit on order for over a month now and dealer still can not obtain one. Next Wednesday I'm told...

filter kit for ford diesel van about 90 if i recall, and what a pia to get to ..pd dealer 186 bucks for fuel filter change.....
