I was just about to install my new OPS , and with the limited time I had I could not find were its located on the engine?
It's located behind and below the fuel filter. You'll need an special oil pressure socket. You can get from NAPA. I had to loosen the fuel filter housing to gain access to it. Takes about 20 minutes to change.

how much does the socket cost? is that the only way you can remove it? I tried using a deep well 1 1/16 socket and of course it doest fit it hits the runner of the intake! damn engineers
Why are you replacing the OPS? Has it failed and you are dead in the water?
If the truck runs and you are interested in protecting the OPS to increase it's life do the OPS mode. For a detailed drawing look at my web site.
NAPA has two - the cheaper one stay away from ($5.00) and the $8.00 one. The cheaper managed to get the OPS off but when I went to put in the new it was slightly too small.
