Which 6.5 diesel do I have?

I just bought a 1997 K2500 6.5 TD. The engine VIN is F but I cant find anything that specifies whether its the 180/360 or 190/385 engine. I'm thinking its the 190/385 since it has 8 lugs.

Anybody tell me how I can tell?

I would say its the 190 HP version. It should be written on the air box cover and/or maybe another sticker under the hood.

F and 8 lugs are the right combination for 190 HP. S and 6 lugs for the other.

Pretty sure code 'F' = High Output.

Along with this is the F Eng. does not have the EGR.

yeah, i found the sticker under the hood the said 190 hp, I also got around to translating the RPO codes and its an L65 HO motor.
