I am building my 6.2 up, turbo, 6.5 heads and turbo injectors. I am wondering what safe exaust temps are for this motor? Should be running about 8-10 psi max boost

With 6.2L pistons, you should try to keep EGT (pre-turbo) below 1100 F, for "continuous" operation, i.e. over 5 minutes. To get up a hill, a spike to 1200 F or 1300 F for a few seconds will not kill your engine.

Some of us have seen even higher temperatures in 6.2L engines, but we don't own them any more ! ! !

Taken where the EGT probe is in the Ex. manfold,driver side and not after the turbo in the down pipe.
As Dr. Lee says Pre-Turbo. If in the down pipe than 900* tops.

Mine goes in right before the turbo. So 900 is max there?

Pre turbo ~1100 F

Post Turbo (downpipe) ~850-900 F
