I am going to purchase some new 16x8 wheels to go with my new tires. I've been running my 265 Revo's on the OE wheels. Since I do a lot of towing I feel better going with the wider wheel. Anyway...I'm looking at the MotoMetal MO951. Book shows they come in 16x8/8 lug. Also shows off set "-18 to +30" What does this mean?? What off set should I be getting?? Thanks

What you want an ideal offset is a 4-5/8" backspace with a 16X8 wheel. I'm not sure what the offset figure is.

One thing you want to be sure of is the wheel's rating. Many wheels are rated much lower than you'd expect. Be sure it is rated at least as much as the tires you are running, or with a wide safety margin for the heaviest you'll load them. For 265/75/16E's, that's 3415#. I couldn't find any ratings for MotoMetal wheels anywhere. Your dealer should have it in print. Don't buy them unless you can confirm they are rated for your use. Don't just take the word of the guy selling them, either.

I did some more checking. The wheels are rated the same as my tires 3300/3400lbs. I don't have the info in front of me right now. I am told they have a 4 1/2" offset. Close enough to 4 5/8"?? Thanks for the help.

Forged aluminum ALCOA has a 16"x7" classic wheel rated at 3,700 lbs. I run em w/285/75/16 MTR's no problems.
